Do not miss this concert in UoN graduation Square by OCTO JULIANI

The U.S. Embassy invites you to join us on Sunday, May 15, 2016 for the niShowPower Concert! The concert features Juliani, Sarabi, Octopizzo, and Sauti Sol, among others Kenyan acts, to encourage Kenyan youth to take part in their democracy by registering to vote and pledging to refrain from violence ahead of the 2017 elections. niShowPower shall ignite a conversation around power and future leadership.
The concert will be held at Chancellor’s Court, University of Nairobi from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The concert is FREE OF CHARGE. But, you must have a valid ticket in advance to enter! Tickets can be booked and printed on-line at www.nishowpower.com or through the niShowPower Facebook page. No one will be admitted without a valid ticket.
Representatives from the Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission (IEBC) will be on hand at the concert venue to register voters from Nairobi’s 17 constituencies. According to the latest statistics, 8 million Kenyans have IDs but have no voter's cards. niShowPower shall provide an opportunity for Nairobi-based, 18-24-year-olds to register. If you’d like to register to vote and you are from a Nairobi constituency, please bring a valid national ID with you to the event!
If you don’t have a national ID card, no worries, representatives from the National Registration Bureau (NRB) will also be on hand to provide information about how to get a national ID card. In addition, youth-oriented civil society groups will be there to give young people non-partisan avenues for engaging in their democracy and their future.
Show your voting power! Spread the word, join the event, and encourage young people to take part in the democratic process.
Warm regards and looking forward to having you at this concert.
