Stray lion shot dead in Isinya after injuring a man

A stray lion that was sighted on Wednesday morning by motorists in Isinya town, Kajiado County has been shot dead after it attacked and injured a boda boda rider. KWS believes it strayed from the Nairobi National Park. The man is currently admitted in hospital.
This comes just two weeks after another lion which strayed from the Park was captured along Mombasa road.
On March 18 the lion named Cheru, wandered out of the park at about 6am and was spotted by motorists near Kaysalt area along Mombasa Road.
A video posted on social media showed the lion running near the fence of Kaysalt building as motorists rolled down their windows and hooted.
Cheru then approached the locked gate of the premises, terrifying guards.
Photographs of lions walking and playing on Kenya’s roads resurfaced when the pride of six got out of the park on February 22 to a settlement area in Lang’ata along the Southern bypass. KWS said they were all found.
